At the end of April, Dorian Boccolacci had already won the second round of the NLS season on the Nordschleife. Already aboard his Porsche In the Falken Motorsports 911 GT3 R, the Frenchman won alongside his Belgian teammate Alessio Picariello at the end of a four-hour race, divided into two stints between the two drivers.
This weekend of May 25th, Dorian Boccolacci had to maneuver in the rain on the legendary German circuit alongside German Nico Menzel, as part of a preparatory race for the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. Fifth at the finish, the number 44 crew came away with a good result, but also a full-scale learning session in very irregular conditions.
"It was the first time I'd driven a GT3 in such extreme conditions," the French driver admitted after the race. "Heavy rain, aquaplaning, even on the straights. The goal was simply to survive and gain as much experience as possible. It was invaluable preparation for the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring next month."
Indeed, having entered the event taking place this year from June 19 to 22, the Cannes driver appears decidedly well prepared to tackle the Green Hell.
