Portuguese Bruno Correia has been appointed as official driver of the safety car (Chevrolet Cruze) during the World Touring Car Championship weekends. Correia, 32, competed in the Portuguese Formula Ford (1994), Formula Renault 2000 Spanish (1996) and was vice-champion of Supertourism in Brazil. It successfully passed its test weekend in Brno, where it notably took part in the WTCC and Formula 2 races.
