Dale Earnhardt Jr will briefly come out of retirement to compete in the Nascar Xfinity Series in Darlington, South Carolina on August 31. The son of the seven-time champion of the same name had already joined the field of the second category by participating in the Richmond (Virginia) event and taking 4th place in a JR Motorsports Chevrolet.
The two-time winner of the Daytona 500, who announced his participation on Twitter by responding to a fan, did not give further details on his participation.
