Interrupted a little more than ten minutes after the start, the 500 Daytona 2021 will resume. Five hours of waiting and numerous showers later, the race will get off to a great start again, unless the weather decides otherwise.
The race directors asked the drivers to get back into their cars at 02:45 a.m. (French time) for the race to resume at 03:00 a.m. Everything therefore seems ready for this 500 Daytona 2021 to end this Sunday. Let's hope the sky doesn't fall again. In this case, the test would be postponed to Monday evening.
Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing) was in the lead at the time of the interruption ahead of Christopher Bell (Joe Gibbs Racing) and Austin Dillon (Richard Childress Racing).
