The Australian brand Brabham Automotive – founded and managed by David Brabham, son of Jack, three-time world champion in F1 (1959, 1960, 1966) – continues the variations of its GT. After the BT62, dedicated to use on the circuit, because it is not approved, the BT62R for use on the road, gives way to the BT63 GT2. As its name suggests, it is now compatible with the GT2 regulations, put in place by Stéphane Ratel with his Fanatec GT2 European Series championship. The BT63 GT2 is heavier than the BT62, and sees its 8 liter V5.4 block being “deflated” to 600 hp, or a hundred horses less. Its debut is planned during the Fanatec GT2 European Series round organized at the Paul-Ricard circuit, from 1er at 3 October.
