Resurfacing works for Brands Hatch

Brands Hatch has undergone a series of improvement works to ensure the circuit is in the best possible condition ahead of a busy summer period.

The surface has been redone in several places, notably at the entrance to the pit lane. The Grand Prix circuit has also received special attention, with new surfacing laid from Surtees Bend through Pilgrims Drop to Hawthorn Bend.

Vibrators were also installed, particularly in the curve of McLaren, while the Druids gravel trap has been replenished.

The site also took advantage of this period to make a number of changes and improvements. Thus, the pit wall was repainted and the bricks were renovated. Several speakers were also replaced along the pit wall.

Mike Lally, Brands Hatch circuit director, said: “We are always looking to improve the Brands Hatch venue, and we have had an ideal period following the GT World Challenge to make changes to the circuit and pit infrastructure. Resurfacing work on the Grand Prix circuit means much of the famous longer layout has been renewed over the past 18 months, while other projects will see the circuit in excellent condition for months to come. summer, for the benefit of all participants. »
