Many teams took first place in this one-hour race. In two parts, this first event of the weekend first gave rise to an internal battle between the two Ginettas of the CMR team, then to a more strategic duel after the various pit stops. More consistent, the drivers of theAston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO from the Mirage Racing team emerged from this first event as winners.

In fact, the start of the race was marked by numerous overtakings between the same two cars. Nicolas Ciamin and Ethan Gialdini continued to battle, going out of bounds several times to keep a place on the podium. Before the pit stops, the #10 Ginetta of Ethan Gialdini and Gwenael Delomier was the big winner of this fratricidal duel, despite losing several places at the front, notably to the Porsche 718 from Viny Beltramelli, second at this moment.

Penalties rain down on Dijon

After the pit stops, however, everything changed. Despite the No. 7 crew's lead, the No. 24 Porsche emerged with a considerable lead over the rest of the grid. Subsequently, the JSB Compétition team was found guilty of not respecting the minimum time spent in the pits and was penalized 15 seconds.

Thus, Olivier Jouffret (Mercedes-AMG n°64), Pascal Huteau (Alpine A110 No. 36), and Aleksandr Vaintrub (Aston Martin No. 7) were fighting for victory at the cost of a clearly increased pace. Once in the lead, Pascal Huteau sadly finished the race with a mechanical problem, preventing him from capitalizing on his precious efforts, as he was racing towards victory. In this context, theAlpine No. 111, that of the Chazel Technologie Course team, crossed the finish line in first position, but was penalized for overtaking beyond the track limits.

In this game, Olivier Jouffret and the Vic'Team team inherited second place, while the two Ginettas were placed between the two Alpine unlucky. This Sunday, the second race will take place at 15:45 p.m. (French time) to settle these different stories during the second round of the weekend.
