A special livery for the DJR in Bathurst

On the occasion of the Bathurst 1K (October 000), the Dick Johnson Racing team will release a tribute decoration on its Ford Mustang V9s. The livery takes up the design used in 8, when the team's founder, Dick Johnson, raced at Bathurst with his son, Steven Johnson (retirement due to accident).

“Celebrating 1 races at the Bathurst 000K is something Jillie and I are incredibly proud of after all these years, Dick Johnson said. We had no idea what DJR would become in 1981 and to celebrate all the highs and lows with a tribute livery at the biggest event of the year is incredible.

The 1998 Falcon livery is very special to me as it was the first year I competed in the Bathurst 1000 with my son Steven. It's fantastic to see the livery on the current Ford Mustang, it's incredible. I can't wait to see her take on the mountain next week. »
