Brad Keselowski (Team Penske – Ford) was the fastest in the qualifying session at the Michigan meeting in Nascar Cup Series. The 2012 champion of the premier class of Nascar completed a lap of the Michigan International Speedway oval in 35″451 at an average of more than 203 mph (326 km/h).

Roger Penske's team monopolizes the first row as Joey Logano hoists the No. 22 Ford Fusion into second position, just six thousandths behind his teammate Keselowski. The blue oval cars dominated the session as Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing) completes the top three with Fusion n°4 at 54 thousandths.
