Earl Bamber Motorsport had already planned to enter the 2020 Super GT race in Sepang, but the race was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The team is now back in Malaysia, where it will enter a Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo in the GT300 category. This category is reserved for GT3 class machines, unlike the GT500, which is reserved for Class One cars. It was in this category that Lilou Wadoux competed last year at the wheel of a Ferrari 296 GT3.
Local driver Jazeman Jafaar will be driving the No. 25 Aston Martin. He will team up for this Sepang event with American-Chinese driver Kerong Li. Earl Bamber's team will be equipped with Michelin tires, like two other teams in the championship. This will be the second Aston Martin entered, since D'Station Racing, which last year defended the British brand's colors in WEC, is back on the attack in its national championship this season.

A small error concerning the GT300 category, which is not exclusively dedicated to GT3s. There are also local models called "Mother Chassis" that race against the GT3s: Toyota GR86, Supra, Lexus LC500H and Subaru BRZ in particular.
