The first edition of the 12 Hours of the Gulf as part of the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC) will be full of participants on December 11, 2022. The event based on the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi will be contested by 34 GT3s.
Six brands are represented, with Ferrari as the most registered manufacturer (10 examples of 488 GT3 Evo) including five cars for AF Corse. The title holders, 2 Seat Motorsport, will defend their success with two Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.
At Audi, the French Saintéloc Racing team will enter two R8 LMS. Team WRT is announced to be present but has not yet communicated the choice of its cars. In 2024, the Belgian team will move from Audi to BMW.
