Jules Gounon is racing hard this spring of 2025, and especially performing well. So, this Sunday at 15 p.m., the Frenchman and his team Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed will start from pole position in the 3 Hours of Monza, round of the GT World Challenge Europe.
The trio of the No. 17 (Gounon, Schiller, Stolz), at the wheel of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, confirmed their dominance seen during the practice sessions and thus allowed the German manufacturer to secure its first pole on the legendary Italian circuit since 2016, the 13th in its history in this championship.
A first line 100% Mercedes, a second 100% Lamborghini
Matteo Cairoli, Maro Engel and Lucas Auer, in the No. 48 Winward/Mann Filter, complete an all-Mercedes-AMG front row. The Affalterbach brand has dominated qualifying by a landslide. The second row will be all-Lamborghini with the No. 100 Huracan GT100 EVO3s from Team GRT and the No. 2 from Team VSR.
The Ferrari 296 GT3 from AF Corse, BMW M4 GT3 from Team WRT or even the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and Porsche The 911 GT3 R will start further down the grid, so all that remains is for Jules Gounon and the German team to finish the job in Lombardy this afternoon.
