Harvick on pole for the Coca-Cola 600

Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing) won the 20th pole of his career at the Coca-Cola 600 held at Charlotte Motor Speedway (North Carolina). The 2014 champion of the Nascar Cup Series was fastest in the final qualifying session, completing the 1,5-mile oval in 27 seconds at an average speed of 918 mph, securing his second pole at the circuit.

Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) will start alongside him on the front row ahead of Chase Elliott (Hendrick Motorsports), Matt Kenseth (Joe Gibbs Racing) and Erik Jones (Furniture Row Motorsports).

Kyle Larson (Chip Ganassi Racing) will start from the back of the grid after damaging his Chevrolet in practice, preventing him from qualifying.
