Haupt Racing Team locked out the front row of the 18th edition of the 24h of Dubai, with Al Manar Racing of Oman by HRT securing pole position ahead of sister car Abu Dhabi Racing by HRT by less than three tenths of a second.
La Mercedes-AMG GT3 n°777 from Al Manar Racing by HRT (Luca Stolz / Fabian Schiller / Axcil Jefferies / Martin Konrad) achieved the best average of the four qualifying sessions spread over the day on Friday with a time of 1:59.791.
The #3 Abu Dhabi Racing by HRT Mercedes-AMG GT4 (Hubert Haupt / Khaled Al Qubaisi / Sébastien Baud / Jules Gounon) set the second fastest time in 2:00.150. There Porsche 911 GT3 R n°911 from Pure Rxcing Herberth Motorsport (Mueller / Malykhin / Stum / King) will start from third position.
Aligned with the No. 4 BMW M3 GT46 of Team WRT, Valentino Rossi will start from eighth position on the grid with his teammates Whale, Gelael, Hesse and Martin.
