Engaged in GT300 and present in Super GT since 2012, Hitotsuyama Racing has announced its withdrawal from competition from next year. Via a press release, the Japanese team explained that it wanted to take a break and take a step back, due to the health crisis. The team which was running a #8 Audi R21 LMS this season wanted to reassure its fans by specifying its desire to return to Super GT in the coming years and that this withdrawal was not definitive.

This year, Hitotsuyama Racing has finished in the points zone only once, and that was when it won at Motegi with its driver duo Takuro Shinohara and Shintaro Kawabata. With 20 points on the clock, the Japanese team finished in 15th place in the GT300 championship.
