Iron Lynx brings out the heavy artillery for the 2024 GT World Challenge Europe season, in Endurance Cup. The Italian team entered the Pro category with a Lamborghini Hurácan GT3 EVO2, and with three leading drivers. The three representatives of trans trainingalpine are all from the LMDh program (WEC et IMSA): Andrea Caldarelli, Mirko Bortolotti and Matteo Cairoli.

The first two cities were already entered in GTWC Europe last year. Mirko Bortolotti debuted in the discipline in 2015 and won the title in 2017 in the Pro category alongside Andrea Caldarelli. Matteo Cairoli, meanwhile, will represent Iron Lynx for the first time in GTWC Europe after making his debut in the championship in 2020.

“We are delighted to continue in GT World Challenge until 2024 with the Lamborghini Hurácan GT3 EVO2,” rejoiced Andrea Piccini, director of the Iron Lynx team. We have an exceptional trio of drivers for our campaign this year, with Matteo, Andrea and Mirko all proving their worth. This is an incredibly competitive championship, with the best GT teams and drivers, and the experience gained from competing in the championship is extremely beneficial to all of our GT3 programs. »

The 2024 season of the GT World Challenge Europe – Endurance Cup will take place over five rounds, including the centenary of the iconic 24 Hours of Spa, and will conclude with a new 1000 kilometer event in Saudi Arabia.
