The Kaulig Racing team has announced that it is planning a partial program in NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) for the 2021 season on both road and oval in addition to the Daytona 500, before aiming for full engagement in the future.

“Kaulig Racing is always building toward the future and I think this is the next step in that process,” said team owner Matt Kaulig. “Our ultimate goal is to become a powerhouse team in the series and we are excited to continue our team’s growth.”

The structure had an exceptional 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) season, with a participation in the final and the fifth consecutive appearance in the play-offs.

“We went from a store of karting to a Cup team. I have seen the growth of Kaulig Racing up close over the past five years,” said team president Chris Rice. “It has been a privilege to have Matt Kaulig's trust in establishing us as a competitive team in one of NASCAR's best series, and I am confident we are ready to take this next step as a organization."

While the team is actively seeking partnership opportunities for the 2021 NCS season, Kaulig Racing has already confirmed the presence of three cars in the Xfinity series including AJ Allmendinger.
