23XI Racing will have to do without the services of Kurt Busch on the road in Indianapolis this weekend. Having made a mistake during qualifying at Pocono and suffering a concussion last week, the 2004 Cup Series champion was forced to withdraw from the Sunday race.
Again evaluated by the medical teams of the NASCAR a few days before the round on the road to Indianapolis, Kurt Busch once again did not receive the green light from the doctors, thus withdrawing from the 22e round of the season. “ After further medical examinations carried out this week, I have not been declared fit to race in Indianapolis this time,” he wrote on his social networks.

Comme à Pocono le week-end dernier, Kurt Busch sera remplacé par Ty Gibbs sur la Toyota Camry N°45 à Indianapolis. Pour ses débuts en Cup Series, le natif de Charlotte (Caroline du Nord) avait terminé 18e but the downgrades of Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch from Joe Gibbs Racing allowed him to grab 2 places, finishing 16e.
