Lamera Cup – Jarama: The first race goes to L’Auto Leclerc

The Jarama circuit lived up to its reputation. On this rough asphalt that tolerates little deviation, the Lamera of the reigning champions (L'Auto Leclerc) won by less than six seconds over the 70th-placed car (CTF 2BE3) after 3 hours and 32 minutes of a thrilling race to the checkered flag.

These are champions who nicely maintain their image as fast drivers, endowed with a certain sense of racing and strategy. After a great battle, Emmanuel Orgeval, Adrien Harang, and Benoît Gruau won their pretty Lamera with the number 1 on the doors. For this first round on the Madrid track, the weather had the good taste not to interfere with the proceedings. And the sun, even discreet, completely dried the asphalt that had been soaked during qualifying. So that the teams could prepare in the best possible conditions for this first round, Race Direction logically decided to delay the start by thirty minutes.

But once unleashed, the wild beasts threw all their strength into the battle. A battle of the leaders, the reigning champions triumphed with a 5,894-second lead over their closest pursuers. That's how fierce the debate was.

We imagine that Yan Bouteiller, Stéphane Cirette and Thomas Boust, on the Lamera 70, will be keen to take their revenge today during the second round which will offer them double the time on track.

On the podium this Saturday, Kenny Provost, Olivier Dufour and Nicolas Imbert climbed onto the last step, just over 2 minutes behind the winners. The victory in the Pro Am category, accompanied by a nice 6e place in the general classification, went to the Lamera 63 of Dum Sports Events thanks to Didier Dumaine, Charles Benoît, Christophe Carrière and Patrice Benoît. In the gentlemen's race, Baptiste Miellou, Ludovic Reyre, Lionel Loustalet and Eric Chaldjian won the cup by hoisting the Lamera 40 (Triangle Monaco) to 14e overall ranking.
