Lamera Cup – Misano: L’Auto Leclerc by Asphalte doubles in race 2

After its victory in race 1, the Auto Leclerc by Asphalte did it again during the Sunday event. A performance which brings the Lamera a little closer to the ETC Racing-2 team in the fight for the title. If nothing is decided among the Elites, the same goes for the Pro-AM and Gentleman categories.

After a 5-hour race yesterday, a 7-hour event awaited the Lamera Cup drivers this Sunday. If the Auto Leclerc by Asphalte (Orgeval, Gruau, Casal) managed to keep its pole position when the lights went out, the Pro-Am Race Track Rollinger TEC crew (Rollinger, Delpit, Bruckner, Giraudi), excellent 2nd in the qualifying, gave way from the start under the onslaught of the Elite Team Lamera crews (Couasnon, Wilfried, Thomas and Mattéo Merafina) and Team TTM 48 (Di Duca, Rousseaux, Soave), respectively 4th and 3rd on the grid. Taking command of the race 45 minutes after the start, Team Lamera will fight throughout the event with the crews Auto Leclerc by Asphalte, Team TTM 48, Race Track Rollinger TEC. We will also not forget the Pro-Am CTF Racing Stage crews (Beraud, Poret, Boust), who returned 3rd after 1h45 min of racing while they started 7th and Scania France (Darné, Guignard, Jean-Luc and Benoit Portmann), 9th on the grid and quickly climbed back into the top 5.

Further on, the Alma R-Tremblaye team (Tremblaye, Loeul, Ettienne) launched a comeback from the last line. The reigning Lamera Cup champion crew was already in 6th position 1h30 after the start and could hope for a podium without a transmission problem which would ultimately cause them to cross the finish line in 8th position. 3rd in the championship before Misano, Continental Racing was forced to retire due to a transmission problem. A hard blow for the crew in the title race, which was 3rd in the championship before Misano. In the end, the Auto Leclerc by Asphalte (Elite category) won the event ahead of the CTF Performance crew, 2nd and first Pro-Am crew which inherited this position in the last lap after the abandonment of the Race Track Rollinger TEC team . Team Lamera (cat.Elite) completes the overall podium of the event. In the Gentleman category, a very nice victory for the West Motors by ETC crew, 16th on the grid at the start, 9th under the checkerboard and which finished two laps ahead of the ADL Racing Team crew, leader of the category ahead of West Motors by ETC.
