Initially scheduled for July 31 to August 1, the Adria meeting was postponed to a later date. The cause: the work to extend the circuit route is not yet finished, and it would take more than two weeks to finalize it, but the meeting is supposed to take place next week.
This is not the first time that this mishap has happened at this circuit. Already last year, the round in Adria was canceled for the same reasons.
“It was not an easy decision to make, says François Ribeiro, WTCR promoter. Every effort is being made to make the route changes as quickly as possible in order to obtain the necessary certification.”
Consequently, the next round of the WTCR championship will be Hungary, on August 21 and 22, 2021. However, we do not yet know the new date of the Italian meeting.
