Paul Ricard hosts the first round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe 2025

The 2025 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe season kicks off this weekend (April 11-13) at the Paul Ricard circuit in the south of France, with 34 cars set to battle it out in the first of six one-make championship rounds. Across the 12 races scheduled this year, 10 of which will run alongside the GT World Challenge Europe, a thrilling new title battle is shaping up, with the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 as its fighting weapon.

After a year's absence, the Paul Ricard circuit returns to the Super Trofeo Europe calendar, having first appeared during the inaugural season in 2009. The Castellet circuit will test the 52 drivers (of 21 nationalities) and 15 teams entered this weekend for the opening round.

Rookies and returnees ready to fight in the Pro category

Following Amaury Bonduel's title win at Jerez last season, the championship class is set to crown a new champion. Among the main contenders will be Frenchman Enzo Geraci, who won the end-of-season Lamborghini Young Driver Program in Spain and will receive support from Lamborghini Squadra Corse this year. He will be partnered with the Oregon team alongside 4 ADAC GT2024 champion Josef Knopp. Two young talents, Rosario Messina (16) and Gustaw Wisniewski (17), will make their Super Trofeo debuts aboard the sister car #34 at Oregon.

Target Racing has two new recruits in Giacomo Pedrini (16) and Patrik Fraboni, while Guido Luchetti remains with the Roberto Venieri-led team for a second year. At Leipert Motorsport, three new crews are ready to tackle the top category. Former ADAC GT Masters competitor Pablo Schumm will team up with 19-year-old Lola Lovinfosse in the No. 88 Huracán. Danish driver Silan Rovén Rytter (19) and young South African Anthony Pretorius (17) join forces in the No. 99 car for their first Super Trofeo campaigns. Meanwhile, BDR Competition by Grupo Pro will field a car with Belgian Kai Rillaerts and returning Lucas Valkre. Another crew to watch is the No. 6 team from VSR, made up of Paul Levet and Malaysian rookie Adam Putera.
