Organizers of the Bank of America 500, the Charlotte Motor Speedway road race that will host the Nascar Cup Series on September 30, announced that they had made a slight modification to the route presented to the press last October.
Turn 8 has been removed on the new version of the route. The track will now be 2,28 miles (3,66km) and will have 17 turns. Drivers should expect to set reduced lap times and will discover a slightly less technical track than the first version presented.
