Unable to travel to East Asia due to recurring pandemic-related travel restrictions, the WTCR has set its sights on the Middle East. As a result, the rounds in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have been added to the 2022 season calendar.
In Bahrain, the WTCR will perform at the famous Sakhir circuit as a curtain-raiser to the 8 Hours of Bahrain, the finale of the WEC, from November 10 to 12. In Saudi Arabia, the elite of world tourism will compete in their final event on the Jeddah circuit, accustomed to welcoming the F1 on its Corniche since 2021. The meeting is scheduled for November 25 to 27.
