Pirelli will introduce new tires in 2022 for GT3 competitors entered in GT World Challenge Europe, and more generally in all championships managed by SRO. The new casings, designated with the acronym P Zero DHF, will take over from the P Zero DHE tires introduced in 2020 following the DHD2. The manufacturer indicates on this occasion that the new tires have benefited from comprehensive development providing a greater range of use, particularly with high track temperature conditions. The main information is elsewhere: for the first time, GT2, GT3 and GT4 will have access to a single tire. Until now, the GT4 category used for example the P Zero DHB. A convergence which can be explained – in part – by a desire for simplification but also by a desire to reduce the carbon footprint by standardizing the supply of rubber.
