Severe weather affecting Charlotte Motor Speedway has led to the cancellation of qualifying for the 67th running of the Coca-Cola 600. NASCAR also cancelled the qualifying sessions for its three national divisions after a weekend already largely disrupted by the weather.

Only one 45-minute practice session could be organized before the return of the rain, with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. setting the fastest time.

The starting grid was therefore determined according to NASCAR regulations. Championship leader Tyler Reddick will start from pole position ahead of Ty Gibbs. Shane van Gisbergen will start third, ahead of Michael McDowell and Chase Briscoe.

Katherine Legge, committed to the "Double Duty" challenge after qualifying for the Indianapolis 500, will start from 37th place.

The weekend remains marked by emotion following the death of Kyle Busch, to whom several tributes were paid in the Charlotte paddock. His number 8 will therefore remain at the top of the leaderboard throughout the weekend.
