La Mercedes Lucas Auer's AMG GT3 (Landgraf Motorsport) continues to confirm its good form at the start of the year. The Austrian driver has already secured his second pole position of the season after the one he took at the opening round in Oschersleben. Qualifying was once again very close, with the top ten separated by less than 3 seconds. Auer finished ahead of the Audi R100 LMS of Swiss driver Ricardo Feller of Land Motorsport. He finished ahead of Maro Engel and Jules Gounon, the Winward Racing teammates. René Rast (Schubert Motorsport) was the first BMW M8 GT4 driver in 3th place. You have to go further down the grid to find the Porsche Manthey EMA of Ayhancan Güven and Thomas Preining 8th and 9th for Race 1. The first official Lamborghini Huracan is 13th, with Lucas Engstler (Grasser Racing Team) ahead of champion Mirko Bortolotti (ABT Sportsline) in 14th.

Race 1 is scheduled for 12:10 French time.
