13th after qualifying in Texas, Martin Truex Jr (Furniture Row Racing – Toyota) will be penalized for an engine change on his No. 78 Camry and will have to start from the back of the pack this evening.
Daniel Suarez (Joe Gibbs Racing – Toyota) and Chris Buescher (JTG Daugherty – Chevrolet) will also be sanctioned for the same reason and will accompany the outgoing champion in the last places on the Texan starting grid.
Matt DiBenedetto (Go Fas Racing – Ford) will also start from the last positions following a transmission change on his No. 32 Fusion.
