The 2015 Chase is off to a bad start for Clint Bowyer. The Michael Waltrip Racing driver was penalized 25 points (as was co-owner Rob Kaufmann), following an infraction during Friday inspections at the last race in Chicagoland (Illinois). Its chief mechanic Billy Scott was suspended for three events and fined $75.
The MWR team, which will no longer enter a car full-time in 2016, is expected to appeal the decision, as indicated in a press release.
