Daniel Suarez became the first driver born outside the USA to win a title in Nascar. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver secured the title by winning his Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami ahead of Ty Dillon (Richard Childress Racing) and Elliott Sadler (JR Motorsports), first other Chaser. Justin Allgaier (HScott Motorsports) took 6th place while Erik Jones (Joe Gibbs Racing) finished 9th.
