Chase Elliott (Hendrick Motorsports), the Daytona 500 (Florida) pole sitter, won the Powershares QQQ 300, the first race of the Xfinity Series season, winning at the wire ahead of Joey Logano (Team Penske) and Kasey Kahne ( Hendrick Motorsports). Elliott Sadler (JR Motorsports) and Austin Dillon (Richard Childress Racing) rounded out the top five.
For his debut at Daytona, Anthony Kumpen (Precision Performance Motorsports) finished in 26th place after playing for a moment in the top ten. The Belgian saw the aerodynamics of his No. 46 Chevrolet Camaro disrupted following a piece of debris.
