Chase Elliott (JR Motorsports) became the youngest Nationwide champion at the age of 18. The driver of the No. 9 Chevrolet secured another top five finish at Phoenix International Raceway (Arizona) after a race won by Brad Keselowski (Team Penske) ahead of Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) to secure of the title with 52 points ahead of his teammate Regan Smith only tenth.
