Dale Earnhardt Jr will change chief mechanic in 2015. If we knew that Steve Letarte would leave his post to become a consultant for the NBC channel, we did not know the name of the replacement for the one who assisted Dale Earnhardt's son during the four last years. It will ultimately be Greg Ives, 34, who will succeed him. Ives is currently the chief mechanic for Chase Elliott at JR Motorsports in the Nationwide Series, the second division of the NASCAR.
