Following the arrival of rain on the Chicagoland track (Ilinois), qualifying for the first event of the 2015 Chase in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series have been canceled. The best times achieved during the free practice session were therefore taken into account to determine the starting grid, and it is Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing) who inherits the pole ahead of Joey Logano (Team Penske).
Brad Keselowski (Team Penske) et Martin Truex Kr (Furniture Row) occuperont la seconde ligne, alors que Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) place la première Toyota Camry en septième position.
