Jeff Gordon (Hendrick) will have to start from the back of the pack in the Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Nevada) after contact with Danica Patrick (Stewart-Haas Racing) during the last practice session which caused damage to the No. 24 Chevrolet. The pole-sitter will have to use his reserve car and cede first position to Joey Logano (Penske).
