Joey Logano (Joe Gibbs Racing) loses his pole at Miami-Homestead, the finale of the Sprint Cup season, following an accident during the second free practice session following contact between his teammate Denny Hamlin and Greg Biffle ( Roush Fenway Racing). The three drivers will start from the back of the peloton. Marcos Ambrose (Richard Petty Motorsports) thus inherits first place on the grid ahead of Chase leader Brad Keselowski (Penske Racing).
