Following the two-race suspension imposed for intentionally hitting Joey Logano (Team Penske – Ford) at Martinsville (Virginia) last weekend, Matt Kenseth and his Joe Gibbs Racing team appealed this first decision. The verdict of this procedure delivered this Thursday initially ratified the initial sanction.

A new appeal was filed immediately, but National Motorsports Final Appeals Officer Bryan Moss finally confirmed the two suspension races (Texas this weekend and Phoenix in Arizona), while reducing the probation period until the 31st. December 2015, instead of the six months initially established.
