The officials of the Nascar have confirmed that the second Michigan event at the end of the month, like the first coming to the Michigan International Speedway in June, will serve as a full-scale test for the aerodynamic rules that will come into effect starting in 2017.

The All-Star Race in Charlotte and the Kentucky round also saw the cars carry the new reduced downforce packages. The settings will be the same as those used at the start of the summer, with the main difference being the reduced rear spoiler.
