Petty Motorsport has secured the services of Aric Almirola to replace AJ Allmendinger, who left for Penske to replace Kurt Busch. In 2012, this American of Cuban origin will participate in his first full season in the Sprint Cup after having competed in 35 races over the last four seasons. He will drive a Ford Fusion flanked by the number 43, “King” Petty’s lucky number throughout his career.
