Carl Edwards has since moved to first place on the starting grid for the Quicken Loans 400 in Michigan, on one of the fastest ovals of the season according to many drivers. This is the second pole position of the season for this driver, currently second in the general classification. Behind him, we find Kurt Busch, the 2004 champion of the discipline, and Kasey Kahne. Brad Keselowski, the defending champion, qualified in 16th position, one place better than Jimmie Johnson, the championship leader.
