During the Richmond, Virginia event last month, a fire broke out during a refueling of Brendan Gaughan's No. 62 Chevrolet in the Xfinity Series. Two members of the Richard Childress Racing team were taken to hospital. Mike Dillon, Vice President of Competition at RCR, indicated in Kansas that pitlane personnel would now wear new head protection.
