Following the episode of reworked tires at Fontana in California, the Richard Childress Racing team was heavily penalized by officials of the NASCAR. The sanction was subsequently reduced, which was confirmed last night. In the P5 category, it inflicted 50 points on driver Ryan Newman, while crew chief Lucas Lambert was fined $75.000 and suspended six times.
