Todd Parrott, the crew chief of the No. 43 Richard Petty Motorsports driven by Aric Almirola, has been suspended for testing positive for illicit substances. He will be temporarily replaced by Sammy Johns, RPM's vice president of operations and communications, who will officiate this weekend at Talladega. Todd Parrot will have the opportunity to make his return through the “Road to Recovery”, a treatment program that was also offered to driver AJ Allmendinger.
