The Stewart stable-Haas Racing confirmed on Monday that it would enter a full-time car in Nascar Xfinity Series in 2017. Driver and car sponsor will be announced before the end of the 2016 season.

The formation, co-owned by boss-pilot Tony Stewart and Gene Haas, also engaged in F1 since this year, is one of the major forces in the Sprint Cup Series with four Chevrolet SS lined up for Stewart (2011 champion), Kurt Busch, Kevin Harvick (2014 champion) and Danica Patrick.

The Haas name had already been seen in the second division of the Nascar Series in the early 2000s.
