Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing) won the Richmond (Virginia) event in NASCAR Xfinity Series. Two members of the Richard Childress Racing team and a member of Erik McClure's JGL Racing team were taken to hospital for treatment.
In the general classification, Ty Dillon (Richard Childress Racing), 9th yesterday, retains control of the championship, eight points ahead of Chase Elliott (JR Motorsports)
