Jules Gounon failed to convert his first pole position into a victory at Oschersleben. After a race punctuated by strategic pit stops, the Frenchman ultimately finished second after leading for much of the first half of the race. After the first pit stop, Gounon held virtual first place, but was overtaken by drivers who picked up their pace before later tire changes.

Behind the Turk Ayhancan Güven (Porsche, Manthey EMA) and the Frenchman Jules Gounon (Mercedes-AMG, Team Mann-Filter), Austrian Thomas Preining also managed to make a spectacular comeback. In addition to his two effective stops, the Porsche 911 GT3 R driver got the better of Joran Pepper and René Rast on the track, who were struggling with their fresher tires at the start of the final stint.

René Rast, fifth in this second race after a forced retirement on Saturday, was undoubtedly the author of the clearest redemption. Starting 2th in this second race of the weekend, the German drove his BMW M15 GT4 Evo to second place in the race after his first exit from the pits. Closely following Ayhancan Güven, Rast managed to come out ahead of Jules Gounon, before losing this advantage during the second stop, and then having to face the rules dictated by Thomas Preining.

In the overall standings, Jordan Pepper's consistency was rewarded despite a winless weekend. With 37 points, the South African outclasses today's winner, Ayhancan Güven, who has 34 points. Lucas Auer and Jules Gounon, the two Mercedes-AMG drivers, also have 34 points and remain in close contact ahead of the second round of the season, which will take place at the Lausitz circuit from May 23rd to 25th.
