The Joe Gibbs Racing driver won all three segments of the second round of the regular season, and held off the attacks of Cole Custer (Stewart-Haas Racing – Ford) in the last three loops to secure the victory. Justin Allgaier (JR Motorsports – Chevrolet) completes the leading trio.
The race took place without any complications in terms of weather, the rain having forced the organizers to cancel qualifying.
