For the next round of Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series at Dover, Richard Petty Motorsports once again calls on Regan Smith after a first collaboration in the Coca-Cola 600. The American driver once again replaces, in the No. 43 Ford, Aric Almirola who had injured his back at Kansas Speedway on May 13.
« I repeat, but I am honored to drive the No. 43 Ford for Richard (Petty) and his team, says Smith. I think we learned a lot in Charlotte and we work well together. »
Almirola doctors recommend between 8 and 12 weeks of rest. Smith finished 22e of the last Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte.
