The legend of NASCAR, Robert Yates, died this Monday, October 2 at the age of 74. He began his career as a mechanic and then as an engine fitter. The latter have acquired 77 victories in the highest category of NASCAR.
In 1989, he founded Robert Yates Racing and achieved 57 victories as a team owner, as well as a championship title with Dale Jarrett in 1999. Ten years ago, his son Doug took over the team. and Robert Yates has also been tipped to enter the 2018 NASCAR Hall Of Fame.
