La Nascar announced yesterday the appointment to the position of president of Steve Phelps, who notably worked in marketing (with the signing of lucrative contracts with Coca-Cola and Monster Energy, etc.).
Phelps takes over from Brent Dewar, who will step back, while maintaining a consulting role in 2019, and will report to Jim France, president and CEO of Nascar. Phelps will be in charge of the competition and business operations of the most popular championship in the United States.
